Democracy time/Rector(ch)at: Troubled times – What is NMH doing?

-

How should NMH respond to conflicts and violations of international law? Welcome to a panel discussion, a collaboration between students and the leadership – hence the names Democracy Time and Rector(ch)at.

NMH has received indications that the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, as well as between Israel and Palestine, are creating challenging situations. Some individuals are afraid to reveal their origins, and one issue of Do-nytt was taken down before Christmas following some reactions to its wording.

  • Why was the issue in question removed, and who made the decision?
  • Is an academic boycott of Israel relevant for NMH?
  • What measures can we use?

There will be contributions from Principal Astrid Kvalbein, Director Kristel Skorge, and Oliver Fremo Amundsen from the action group for cultural and academic boycott of Israel at NMH.

Panel members: Astrid Kvalbein, Kristel Skorge, Thorvald Bugge Helle, and SUT (Student Committee) Leader Victor Middleton (moderator).
