Overview

In this course, students will rehearse essential wind ensemble pieces and perform them in concert with a high level of proficiency.

Structure

The ensemble normally has one project in the fall semester, and one in the spring semester. Projects end with a concert at the Academy. Regularly, concerts will also be performed on external venues and may be brought on an international tour. Each project entails five rehearsals lasting four hours. Additionally, there will be organized individual and group rehearsals before concerts.

Course requirements

Attendance is mandatory for all rehearsals and concerts. Students are expected to be prepared for rehearsals and classes.

Final assessment

The course requirements must be approved for the student to receive a final assessment.

The student is assessed in relation to the course's learning objectives. Final assessment is made by two internal examiners, one of whom is normally the course's coordinator. Final assessment is expressed as pass/fail.

New assessment

In the case of re-assessment, the same procedures apply.
