Ljøsblått is the annual folk music festival at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH). It is organised by the folk music students at the Academy and has free entrance for everyone. There will be dancing, concerts, jams, and parties every night. The festival has the highest feel-good factor in all of Oslo, so it's definitely worth a visit!
Ljøsblått 2025 will be held on Thursday 27 November, and Friday 28 November at Riksscenen. Arranging the festival at Riksscenen is new this year, and it will give all participants a unique opportunity to show their music on one of the most important folk music venues in the country. In addition, there will be activities round the city. Welcome to music, dancing, jam and party!
Criteria for Performing
All types of bands and ensembles are welcome, but folk music must be a significant part of the musical expression.
It doesn't have to be folk music from Norway. All folk music from around the world is welcome!
The festival is mainly for students. Including external performers is not a problem, but note that Ljøsblått 2025 unfortunately cannot offer compensation.
