Privacy Policy for Students and Applicants at NMH

This privacy policy provides you with information about how the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) processes your personal information, your rights, and who you can contact with inquiries concerning your data.

The security of your personal information

NMH conducts regular risk and vulnerability analyses to secure your personal information. In addition, security measures have been implemented, such as access controls to prevent more employees than necessary from gaining access to your personal information.

We assure you that your personal information is stored under the privacy regulations' rules for geographical storage. Any storage in third countries is done legally through the EU's accepted transfer mechanisms.

In some instances, we process data automatically

Several processes related to your studies will be performed automatically, either entirely or in part. Automatic processing is used in the following circumstances:

  • Calculation of eligibility for courses.
  • Registration for lectures and examinations.
  • Creation of invoices.
  • Explanation of grades/complaints against exam results.
  • Various applications for recognition/approval.

NMH is the data controller of personal data, cf. GDPR Artic le 4 no. 7.

If you wish to exercise your rights as established above, please contact us at post@nmh.no. We will process your request as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.

Data protection officer

NMH has appointed a data protection officer whose responsibility it is to protect the personal data interests of both students and staff at NMH. You may contact the data protection officer about the processing of personal data via email at: personvernombud@nmh.no.
